Truck drivers' essential work keeps the
Australian economy moving.
The Professional Drivers' Association of Australia (PDAA) represents and protects the rights of truck drivers in Australia. The PDAA believes in the fair working conditions and safety of truck drivers.
Truck drivers deserve a fair go!
What we are fighting for
Drivers' right to choose
The PDAA supports truck drivers' freedom of choice by opposing mandatory COVID vaccinations for truck drivers. Truck drivers' should be allowed to make their own medical decisions without their careers being risked.
Restrictions on Drivers' access
Our members are frustrated about how Australia is divided between individual states and territories, restricting their access.
There are too many inconsistencies between the states. It becomes difficult for drivers to not only travel through states, but also keep up with the ever changing rules.
COVID testing for Drivers'
The current process for COVID testing every time a boarder is crossed is exhaustive and tedious for drivers. Especially for long haul drivers who cross multiple boarders within one shift.
This causes deliveries to be delayed - and essential products not delivered on time.
Professional Drivers' Association of Australia (PDAA) is an industrial association of employees, (an unregistered trade union) whose principal purpose is to protect and promote the interests of members in matters concerning their employment. We are a non-party political alternative to the TWU and RTBU. Our membership fees are significantly lower and we provide all the same services.
